Climate Central has posted a good summary of some new ways the National Hurricane Center is looking at better communicating the risk of approaching hurricanes.
From what I see here, the NHC gets it: they’re really trying to follow the famous Einstein quote on simplicity (“Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler”). This isn’t about dumbing things down; it’s about telling people what they need to know in a way they can understand it. Looking forward to their final product (due “as early as” next year).
